                                An
Opening Reflection for the
Pacem in Terris Global Leadership Ecumenical Initiative

    Working Paper / Version of 1 July 20 2012 / Feedback welcome

Through this Initiative, at the dawn of the Postmodern Global Electronic-Ecological Era, we seek healing transformation for the ecological, social, and spiritual unsustainability of Modern Western Industrial-Colonial Civilization and its current globalization.

We also seek healing transformation for the correlative unsustainability of the modern paradigm of Christian evangelization within the "advanced" center countries of Modern Western Industrial-Colonial Civilization (the "Old Evangeli-zation").

The Initiative draws on the postmodern vision for Catholic Christianity and Catholic Social Teaching as founded by Blessed John XXIII (1958-1963).

It also draws on the "New Cosmology" emerging at the postmodern frontiers of theoretical and empirical dialogue between Philosophy and Science.

The Initiative’s first ultimate goal is humbly to contribute to a postmodern Christian global intellectual-artistic renaissance, which will seek creative pathways into a regenerative Postmodern Global Electronic-Ecological Civilization.

Correlatively, its second ultimate goal is humbly to contribute to a regenerative postmodern global Christian evangelization for this new Global Civilization (the "New Evangelization").
